Terms of use
The terms that govern use of the CrewBook app.

What CrewBook is
CrewBook is a personal electronic pilot logbook: entry, import, reporting, and export of a pilot’s own flight records. It is an informational tool. The pilot remains responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and retention of their logbook under the regulations that apply to them, and for verifying any total before relying on it for a certificate, rating, application, insurance, or employment purpose.
No operational use
CrewBook is not a source of operational, dispatch, regulatory, legal, or medical authority. Currency, limit, and summary calculations are estimates computed from the records you provide; confirm important results against official records and the applicable rules before acting on them.
Your records stay yours
Your logbook lives on your device. CrewBook provides export and backup so your records remain portable, and subscription status never deletes or withholds records: everything you could see remains visible and exportable.
Subscription
CrewBook offers an optional auto-renewing annual subscription (CrewBook Annual) purchased through your app store account. The free tier allows a limited number of entries; the subscription removes that limit and unlocks the full imported history and reports. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are managed by the app store: the subscription renews yearly until canceled in your store account settings, and runs to the end of the paid period after cancellation. Prices are shown in the app before purchase.
Where cloud features are offered
Some editions of CrewBook offer optional encrypted cloud backup through an account. Where offered, payloads are encrypted on the device before upload, and the service cannot read your records. Cloud features are always optional; the logbook works fully without an account.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to breach, probe, or overload the service, misrepresent records as another person’s, or use CrewBook to store content you have no right to hold. We may suspend service features (never your local records) to protect the service or comply with law.
Intellectual property
CrewBook, its design, and its original content are the property of Far Horizon Group. Your flight records are not ours: you own your data.
Warranty and liability
CrewBook is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, Far Horizon Group is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app; where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the preceding twelve months.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the product evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
